At some point in every person’s spiritual journey, discernment becomes more important. Why? \ Discernment is the ability to recognize the truth or untruth of what we read, experience, see, or hear. The dictionary describes discernment as an ability to detect or perceive something concealed.
The energy of earth is rapidly moving into new and higher vibration. The veils that kept humans from seeing and hearing the higher dimensional energies have thinned and even disappeared completely for some. Because of this, they are beginning to channel, and or see higher dimensional frequencies that are not yet visible to the majority.
Frequently people believe that the word psychic is interchangeable with the word spiritual. This is not true. Psychic does not mean spiritual, and it is very important to develop discernment with regard to what we accept as being truth. Some, after finding themselves able to channel, start giving messages through the Internet or in classes, and books.
Third dimensional energy is the energy of duality and separation in which there will always be pairs of opposites which is all mankind has known throughout hundreds of lifetimes. The high vibrating energies of the fifth dimension and higher, do not support duality and separation. If a channel brings through a message while still aligned with the old energy, it colors the channeled message with duality and separation. A channeled message can flow no higher than the state of consciousness of the channel. If we read a message filled with fear and predictions of doom, we can be assured that the consciousness, through which it came holds beliefs of duality and separation. New channelers are often ignorant of how this works. They do not realize why it is imperative to keep their energy field clear and filled with light when doing this sacred work, nor do they understand the importance of stating at least once; “I am open only to Beings of Light”.
Even those making contact with Beings of Light can bring through distorted messages if they have not first cleared their energy field and kept it in Light. Pet peeves, anger, and old negativity held by the channeler can color messages. Joel S. Goldsmith, the western mystic once said; “Any old programming can gum up the works.” This is not to say that a channeler doing his best to stay clear, does not occasionally bring in something that may be “colored”– this is where discernment comes in.
Religious bias or a strict dogmatic background can result in messages filled with references to right and wrong, sin, and good vs. evil. The channeler’s state of consciousness is the interpreter of the message being channeled. USE YOUR INTUITION. If you read a message, attend a class, or read a book that does not resonate with you, trust that. Let it go, it isn’t for you. Be informed, but also be guided from within as to what resonates as truth and what does not. This way you do not feed energy and give power to ideas that are untrue.
It is important for all those choosing to be a channel, to understand that there are many un-evolved beings on the other side who would love the opportunity to channel through someone in order to create chaos and negative energy which they in turn can feed upon. This is why it is very important that the channeler declare that they are open only to Beings of Light. As a channeler becomes more spiritually evolved, he/she becomes more in and of the Light at all times and doesn’t need to make this a concern because lower resonating energy cannot enter into that which is higher.
Discernment is not just for spiritual issues; it is important in all facets of life. News, media, rumors, and thoughts floating around in universal collective consciousness all need to be looked at with with discernment. Humans must give up believing that something is true simply because some “expert” in the field says it is. You give away your power when you allow or rely on others to validate you or your choices. So called “experts” often hold concepts that are limited, personal, three dimensional and rigid with regard to their field of expertise. To simply accept without question whatever the government, church leaders, experts, friends, family, media, doctors, etc. etc. tell you is the surrender of your innate spiritual power as a Divine Being. It is time for men and women of all ages to take back this God ordained power through trusting and utilizing discernment– the innate ability through their oneness with Source to determine what is true and what is not, and then having the courage to act upon it.
There are those that enjoy being told what to do because it is easier. Some have had past lives as slaves still carry the energy of obedience and lack of self-confidence. However it is at the sacrifice of one’s true nature and spiritual evolution to remain in what is old, outgrown, and now irrelevant. There comes a time in everyone’s evolutionary journey when that which is finished must be let go of, and then taking life’s reins in hand, stand firm in discernment and intuition.
It is time for mankind to release all beliefs that continue to hold them in bondage to another. There will always be those ready to grab power when it is handed to them. Give long hard consideration to giving away your power by asking yourself; “Why would I choose to be less than what I am”? This does not mean that you must never consult an expert, go to church if you enjoy it, or listen to your doctor’s advice. It does mean that you use and trust your intuition, allow decisions and choices that may or may not be in alignment with what others tell you, to be yours.
Habits are hard to break, and the acceptance of and living out from one’s innate power is not for the faint of heart because there will always be resistance and interference from those who do not want you to change, preferring that you stay weak and dependent allowing them all the power.
If mankind is to evolve into new and higher frequencies of Light, the obsolete, three dimensional practice of allowing others to determine who we are and what is best for us must go- but as with everything, this is a free will choice every person must make for themselves.
